About Post :The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) / Department of Space has released the centralized recruitment notification ISRO ICRB:01(A-JPA):2026 for the recruitment of Assistants, Junior Personal Assistants (JPA), Upper Division Clerks (UDC), and Stenographers in Level-4 of the Pay Matrix.

A total of 242 vacancies are available across various ISRO Centres, Units and Autonomous Bodies. Eligible Indian candidates can submit their applications online within the prescribed application period. The notification was published on 27 July 2026, and the last date to submit the online application is 16 August 2026.

One-year work experience as Steno-Typist / Stenographer (or BOAT Apprenticeship Certificate for DCP/DCCP holders).
AND
Minimum speed of 60 w.p.m. in English Stenography + Proficiency in Computer use.

ISRO Selection Process Stages

  • The selection process for ISRO Assistant, JPA, UDC & Stenographer Recruitment 2026 will generally consist of the following stages:

    Stage 1: Written Examination

    • Candidates will first appear for an Objective Type Written Examination.
    • The written test will assess candidates according to the prescribed examination pattern and syllabus.
    • Candidates who meet the required qualifying/shortlisting criteria will proceed to the next stage.

    Stage 2: Skill / Proficiency Test

    Depending on the post, candidates may be required to appear for:

    • Computer Literacy / Skill Test – for applicable Assistant/JPA/UDC posts.
    • Stenography Speed Test – for Stenographer posts.
    • The applicable skill test will be conducted according to the requirements of the respective post.

    Stage 3: Document Verification & Medical Fitness

    • Shortlisted candidates will undergo Document Verification (DV).
    • Candidates must produce original educational, identity, category and other required certificates.
    • Candidates must also satisfy the prescribed medical fitness requirements.
