SBI Clerk Selection Process & Exam Scheme

• The SBI Clerk 2026 selection process consists of multiple stages. Candidates are required to qualify in the Phase-I Preliminary Examination, followed by the Phase-II Main Examination. Depending on the applicable requirements, candidates may also have to appear for a Local Language Test (LLT) and complete Document Verification.

  Phase-I Preliminary Examination

  The SBI Clerk Prelims is an online objective examination of 100 marks, with a total duration of 1 hour. Each section has a separate time limit of 20 minutes.

  Negative Marking

  There is a negative marking scheme in both the Preliminary and Main Examinations. For every incorrect answer, one-fourth (1/4) of the marks assigned to that question will be deducted. Candidates should therefore answer questions carefully and avoid unnecessary guessing.

  Local Language Test and Document Verification

  Candidates may also be required to undergo a Local Language Test (LLT) for the language specified for the State or Union Territory for which they have applied. After qualifying the required stages, candidates must complete the prescribed document verification process as per SBI’s recruitment rules.

How to Fill SBI Junior Associates Clerk Online Form 2026

Eligible candidates can apply for SBI Clerk Recruitment 2026 through the official SBI Careers portal by following the steps given below:

1. Visit the SBI Careers Website: Go to the official SBI recruitment portal at sbi.bank.in/web/careers/current-openings.
2. Select SBI Clerk Recruitment: Find and click on the “RECRUITMENT OF JUNIOR ASSOCIATES (CUSTOMER SUPPORT & SALES) 2026” link.
3. Complete New Registration: Click on the new registration option and enter the required basic information, including your mobile number and email ID. After successful registration, a Provisional Registration Number and Password will be generated.
4. Fill in the Application Form: Log in using the registration credentials and enter your personal details, educational qualifications, preferred state, and selected local language accurately.
5. Upload Required Documents: Upload the scanned documents in the prescribed file size and format:
   • Passport-size Photograph: 20–50 KB
   • Signature: 10–20 KB
   • Left Thumb Impression: 20–50 KB
   • Handwritten Declaration: 50–100 KB
6. Pay the Application Fee: Complete the online fee payment through Debit Card, Credit Card, Net Banking, or UPI.
   • UR/OBC/EWS: ₹750
   • SC/ST/PwBD/ESM: No Application Fee
7. Submit the Application: Carefully review all the information entered in the form before clicking the final submit button.
8. Save the Application: After successful submission and payment, download or print the final application form and E-Receipt and keep them safely for future reference.
